Terms of Service

Last updated: July 18, 2026

1. What you’re getting

Squawk reports on what its connected cameras can see, at the times it says it will. It is a monitoring and information service.

2. What Squawk is not

Squawk is not a security system, an alarm, or a guarantee of protection. It cannot prevent an animal from being harmed, and it may fail to detect events — because a camera is offline, a view is blocked, light is poor, an event happens outside the frame, or a service it depends on is unavailable. Do not rely on Squawk as the only safeguard for animals or property. Squawk does not summon emergency services.

3. Honest reporting

Squawk reports what it verified. When it cannot verify something, it says so rather than guessing. A message that says a door was closed means a camera image showed it closed at that time; it does not mean your flock is safe.

4. Your responsibilities

You must own or have permission to use the cameras you connect, comply with laws where your cameras operate, and keep your account credentials secure. You are responsible for the placement and settings of your cameras.

5. Accounts and subscriptions

Free features and paid features are described in the app. Subscriptions purchased through the Ring Appstore are billed by Ring under Ring’s terms; cancellation and refunds for those purchases follow Ring’s process. Paid features stop at the end of the paid period; your records remain available on the free tier.

6. Acceptable use

Do not use Squawk to monitor people without their knowledge and consent, to harass anyone, or to violate any law. Do not attempt to access other users’ data.

7. Your content

You keep ownership of images and information you upload. You grant us the limited right to store and process them to provide the service. We do not use your content to train AI models.

8. Availability

We aim for continuous service but do not promise it. We may change or discontinue features; for material changes affecting paid features we will give notice.

9. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Squawk is provided “as is”, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for loss of or harm to animals, property, or income.

10. Termination

You may stop using Squawk and delete your data at any time. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms.

11. Governing law

Georgia, United States. Service is offered in the United States only.
